Abruzzo is considered the wild land par excellence. A sort of Italian Alaska a two hour drive from Rome or Naples. Bears and wolves have always and still today populate its mountains. But on closer inspection, mountainous Abruzzo is the result of a thousand-year-old form of coexistence between man and wild nature. A place where art and culture in general have mixed with it. It is precisely this fragile balance that will be the object of our experience. We will walk in two of the most important parks in Abruzzo (the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise and the Velino-Sirente Regional Park), we will attempt the observation of bears and wolves, we will enjoy the warm hospitality of the dynamic and ancient village of Aielli Alto , which in recent years has leapt to the headlines thanks to art (the town of murals) and astronomy (the Torre delle Stelle observatory). We will visit Pescina, the birthplace of Ignazio Silone, candidate for Italian capital of culture for 2025. A mythical journey awaits us among woods, mountains, perched villages rich in art but also in the cosmos and along the Milky Way. An apparent contrast, never strident, that only inland Abruzzo is able to show. In short, an unprecedented Abruzzo as you've never seen it, in the company of two true Abruzzese: the Naturalistic Guide Paolo Iannicca and the Astrophysicist Paolo Ruscitti.
