Epiphany by wolves
An Epiphany different. Every day we will walk along the trails of the park in search of animals, following the tracks and signs of presence that they leave on the mantle of snow, also helping with snowshoes.
An 'Epiphany in the nature surrounded by the mountains and the snow-covered forests of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
A room dedicated to the Apennine wolf (Canis lupus italicus) lord of winter, and between the valleys of the Park has found an ideal habitat to live and hunt, taking refuge in these forests even in the most difficult for its survival.
Every day we will walk along the trails of the park in search of animals, following the tracks and signs of presence that they leave on the mantle of snow, also helping with snowshoes.
We will sleep in a small hotel, family-run, where we will enjoy the hospitality and fine cuisine of Abruzzo.
Program
First day
arrival in PESCASSEROLI, in the afternoon, meeting at the Ecotur office, accommodation in the hotel. 20.00 dinner and presentation of the program.
Second day
08.00 am breakfast; 09.00 departure for an excursion with snowshoes in Cicerana, where there are beech woods, a UNESCO heritage. Lunch break in the refuge. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Third day
08.00 am breakfast; 09.00 snowshoe excursion one of the most characteristic areas of the Park and ideal habitat of the Apennine wolf. Lunch break and return in the late afternoon. 20.00 dinner and overnight stay.
Fourth day
08.30 am breakfast;
9.00 am departure for an excursion in the secular beech wood of the Difesa di Pescasseroli "in search of the traces of wild animals". Lunch break Return in the early afternoon and departure.
The programs may be changed because of adverse weather conditions or by the will of the participants
Accomodation
In double triple and quadruple rooms with B & B family
Equipment
Hiking boots, jacket (preferably Gore-Tex) Waterproof and windproof with hood, backpack, water bottle, flashlight, leggings, hat and gloves of wool or fleece, sunglasses, long pants and "stacks", sun protection cream , camera, binoculars.
