The way of the brigants
An itinerary to discover brigandage before and after unification of Italy
Historical and nature trail to retrace the history of brigandage in southern Italy. We will walk along the border that marked the division between the Kingdom of Naples and the Papal States. A day dedicated to the discovery of this phenomenon which is no longer considered mere larceny, steeped in criminal acts, but a revolutionary movement deployed by the fringes of poor people who had no other way but to take to the bush and take the road of brigandage .
