The ancient forest, UNESCO heritage with lunch in mountain hut

The 60% of the Park of Abruzzo territory is composed of forests, of which 90% are beech forests. The Abruzzo National Park preserves the beech woods the oldest in Europe, earning the nomination for UNESCO World Heritage listing. Intact ecosystems and biodiversity-rich primordial, where towering patriarchs in excess of 500 years old.
