A pleasant walk in an enchanted valley, full of crystal clear water, wild forests and towering peaks. Characteristic moist environment of the park, home to numerous animal species. Retrace the stream Fondillo until you reach the spectacular sources of Tornareccia, where the clear water straight from the belly of the mountain. This excursion has a lot of value because this valley was the first to be preserved and protected, in 1922.
Program
After a short tranfer by own car, will start the walk retracing part of Tratturo Pescasseroli-Candela. Then we will cross large clearings, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view over the valley, until you reach the creek Fondillo. We will cross the bridge and follow the course of the water until you reach the spectacular sources of Tornareccia, the most fascinating part of the whole park, where a copious amount of water flows from the belly of the earth.
Equipment
hiking boots or sneakers with sole carved, water bottle, backpack, glasses for the sun and sunscreen, snack, sweatshirt or fleece, raincoats.

How the reach us
Rome Highway 24, branch to Pescara, exit Pescina, continue to Pescasseroli. In Pescasseroli you can also get by train to Avezzano (line Rome - Pescara) and connecting bus with Pescasseroli or directly by bus from Rome (Piazzale Tiburtina Soc ARPA). For all those who come from the South, the arrival station is Castel di Sangro and then connecting bus to Pescasseroli
